DR. EMILIO JUSTO: Hello. This is Dr. Emilio Justo and I am here with one of our long-standing patients, Mrs. Beverly Pettigrew, and we are about to do a Juvederm® injection. Juvederm® is one of the hyaluronic acid tissue fillers that are commonly used. We will be injecting the marionette folds, a little bit in the upper lip, and if any is left over, we will put a little bit in her nasolabial folds, or her smile lines. Mrs. Pettigrew, anything you would like to say?
MRS. BEVERLY PETTIGREW: I will just say that I have had this before and it is very successful. I am very happy to have it done again.
DR. EMILIO JUSTO: Great. And as you can see, she has had some topical numbing cream that we have applied about 10 or 15 minutes ago, just to take the edge off from that little needle. So now, we are going to wipe her down and get going. My patients just absolutely love the taste of this stuff. Nothing better than a numb tongue. Very good. So we have injected the right side of her face. Now we are going to be injecting the left marionette fold and the upper lip. As I was saying earlier, the Juvederm® is mixed, pre-mixed, with some lidocaine to make it not quite as sensitive. We will clean her off in just a moment with a little bit of alcohol. Is that terribly uncomfortable?
MRS. BEVERLY PETTIGREW: No.
DR. EMILIO JUSTO: Wish you could do it all day long?
MRS. BEVERLY PETTIGREW: Oh, sure. Not all day, please. No, it felt fine.
DR. EMILIO JUSTO: Good.
