NARRATOR: The Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center in the Sun City and Sun City West areas of Phoenix, Arizona has been a fixture here for decades. EMILIO JUSTO: Our practice has a wide variety of procedures, ranging from your typical ophthalmic procedures, such as no-stitch cataract surgery and routine eye exams, all the way to cosmetic procedures, such as laser eyelid surgery, laser skin resurfacing, face and neck lifts, liposuction, and the nonsurgical procedures such as BOTOX®; tissue fillers, such as Juvederm® and Restylane®. So, as you can see we are not your typical ophthalmology practice, because we perform many things under one roof. NARRATOR: The Sun City West office is warm, spacious and modern. It is unique in that this medical office building boasts the area’s one and only Arizona state-licensed, Medicare certified, and nationally accredited outpatient surgery centers specializing in ophthalmology and cosmetic surgery, thereby placing patient safety, privacy and state-of-the-art technology as its highest priorities. Patients who have surgery performed here enjoy the convenience, warmth and familiarity of being able to have it done here, as if it were in the same office. But there is no question that patients turn to Dr. Justo first and foremost because he is a highly trained and skilled ophthalmologist and plastic surgeon. KATE GASKINS: Dr. Justo is amazing. Dr. Justo is in a class of his own; a league of his own. HOLLY: He has been around for years and he is very experienced. He is not only a fine M.D., but he is an artist and I didn’t want to trust my face to anyone else. NARRATOR: Trust is a word that is used repeatedly around this office. You see, patients are comforted by the fact that many members of Dr. Justo’s staff have worked side-by-side with him for many years. HOLLY: I sense that they care; that they care deeply and that customer service is most important. FRANCES: The all-around compassion that comes out of this particular office is super. DR. EMILIO JUSTO: When I am with a patient, my main primary focus is that patient. I never rush in and out of the examining room. I look at them, ask them before I leave are there any other questions that I have left unanswered. I give them the opportunity – every opportunity to ask as many questions as they wish. DR. ANNA CLARK: We really get to know our patients. We get to know how their lives are. I ask them about their families. You know, “how’s the holidays?” We learn a lot about our patients. NARRATOR: Dr. Emilio Justo and his team go to work every day because they love what they do, not because they have to. When they help a patient see better or perform a procedure that makes them feel more self-confident, or better about themselves, or even dance a little two-step right there in the office, it makes it all worthwhile. DR. EMILIO JUSTO: It keeps me going. When I get that positive feedback from the patient, that: “Hey! Now I can drive without glasses, I can drive clearly, I can enjoy my reading, I can enjoy my life, I feel good about myself…” I mean it is an incredible feeling that you just never get tired of. And that just cycles back day after day, and that is what really keeps me going.
