Upper Eyelid Surgery: Case 9

Description

This 77 year old female is from South Dakota, but spends her winters in Sun City, Arizona. After Dr. Justo performed cataract surgery, the patient said she could see much better, but felt like she had a blinder over her eyes because her eyelids hung down over her eyes. After discussing with Dr. Justo, it was determined that the patient’s droopy eyelids were due to muscle weakness in the eyelid and a muellerectomy (muscle-tightening procedure) would eliminate the issue. The patient underwent a bilateral muellerectomy and is very pleased with her results and the improvement in her overall appearance.
