This 64-year-old Sun City man had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Emilio M. Justo, with the state-of-the-art LenSx laser for refractive cataract surgery, offered at few locations, including the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center. With his improved vision, the patient realized that his eyelids continued to restrict is peripheral view, and Dr. Justo then performed upper eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, to remove excess eyelid skin, a procedure that his insurance covered. The improvements have made a dramatic impact on the patient’s life, causing him to return to, and better enjoy, activities that his restricted vision had made harder to participate in, such as his softball team.
