World Opens Up
Eyelid Surgery and Permanent Make Up Ease Life
For Sun City resident Vicky Mullican, years of dealing with a tremor in her right hand made simple tasks a challenge.
So when her eyelids began to droop and cover her eyelashes, further limiting her ability for a simple pleasure like putting on make up, she sought help with Dr. Emilio M. Justo at the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center.
"I understand that if your eyelids are batting on your eyelashes, insurance usually covers upper eyelid surgery. I opted for both upper and lower eyelid surgery."
The surgery was so successful that she has already recommended a friend who has also had it done, she said. "It went perfectly. I feel like the world has kind of opened up for me."
"My tremor has been getting worse, so this is really going to save me. I next plan to get my eyelids done with permanent make up and later my eyebrows. This is going to save me. I won't have to put on make up any more."
"You can tell a difference immediately after the surgery, in your vision."
