What Is JUVÉDERM®?

The Procedure
Patients who receive JUVÉDERM® injections at any of our Phoenix-area practices are often pleased to discover that the procedure is both quick and relatively painless. Because the injectable treatment contains lidocaine, an additional anesthetic is not typically necessary. However, for added comfort, Dr. Justo may use a numbing cream to further desensitize the area being treated.
Using a small needle, Dr. Justo will administer JUVÉDERM® through a series of injections. Typically, patients do not report feeling any sensation beyond the small pinprick associated with the injections. After the wrinkle-fighting gel has been eased under the skin, Dr. Justo may briefly massage the treated area. The entire injection procedure is usually completed within fifteen minutes.
