About Dr. Mark Yates
Strong, Reliable Background
“Growing up in small town Missouri, my parents placed an immense value on education and were determined to provide a college education for me as well as my seven siblings. That kind of determination and effort, along with my rural values and ethics, has positively influenced me to become the very best eye care practitioner possible. My greatest professional enjoyment is to clearly understand each patient’s specific needs, thereby allowing me to provide specific solutions to enhance my patients’ lives. Many times the extra effort on my part results in the most rewarding experiences, both for my patient and myself.”
Education and Experience You Can Rely On
“I am very proud that my 30 years of medical optometry experience has allowed me to be a leader in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye syndrome, just to name a few. I have extensive experience in the pre-operative diagnosis of cataracts as well as the post-operative care following cataract surgery. It is incredibly satisfying to witness a patient’s eyesight improve tremendously following cataract surgery, and the tremendous positive impact on a patient’s lifestyle.”
Dedication to Be The Best
“It is essential to always remember that there is more to learn. I believe that my passion will help promote the best interests of my patients. The scope of medical optometry has changed drastically over the years. I am very excited about the many new treatment options that are available, and I will continuously strive to improve my education so that my patients will be better served.”
The Reward
“The key to providing the best patient care has its foundation in listening and honestly addressing the patient’s questions and concerns with compassion and empathy. Patients should be included in their own treatment plan to build a symbiotic long term healthy optometrist-patient relationship that benefits everyone.”
