Why Choose a True Eye Surgeon
Advantage of a True Eye Surgeon
Glenda Wilson lives half of the year in Wyoming, but it was in Arizona that she elected to have eyelid surgery - a decision she's happy to have made.
"My surgery and the preparation for it went much better by having an ophthalmologist who does surgery, versus a plastic surgeon who tries to operate around the eyes," Glenda explained.
While a doctor in Wyoming expected her to undergo a "litany of tests" that made her uncomfortable and cost her extra, she said Dr. Justo's abilities as a dual surgeon and vision specialist gave her "an enormous advantage."
Rather than get so many tests, Dr. Justo performed a field of vision test which also helped her qualify for insurance coverage of the upper eyelid surgery. "I told Dr. Justo about my experiences, and all of the expensive tests that the plastic surgeon wanted to have done. He told me I did not have to have any of those completed. I met all of the requirements, under his care."
"What was happening was, my eyelids were coming down to the point they were starting to impact my pupils," she said. "I was losing vision above, and to the sides, and so I had a very limited viewpoint."
Today, she can take in the beauty of Yellowstone Park, in her second home, more readily, she says, with her vision opened up again.
"Everything is brighter, and I have a fuller, more perfect picture of everything. The thing I really noticed was that I didn't have to put my head up to look up - now I can just tilt my eyes up!
"Eyesight is very precious, and you need to take care of it."
