Diabetic Retinopathy
|
||
Diabetic Retinopathy is the most common diabetic eye disease and the leading cause of blindness in American adults. Symptoms of this disease include swollen blood vessels on the retina that may leak, or new blood vessels that grow on the surface of the retina. Due to its lack of symptoms until the disease has become severe, it is important for people with diabetes to have an eye exam every year. During the exam, the doctor will dilate the eyes to check for signs of the disease. If you are have Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, and have not had your annual or semi-annual eye exam in the last year, we encourage you to call us and let us help preserve your vision, educate and empower you! Call our office today to schedule an appointment. (We even schedule same day exams!) |
