Renewed Appearance Brings New Confidence to Veteran

Craig Scott looks back at his old, droopy eyelids with a sense of humor.

"I looked like I had been in a boxing match, my eyes were so puffy," he said.

But the results of his upper and lower eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, were no joke, he added.

"I don't look so frumpy or grumpy anymore," Craig said. "The surgery makes you look younger, and that's what I was going for. I also see better now, too."

Arizona Eye Institute Founder & Medical Director Emilio M. Justo, M.D., performed the upper and lower eyelid surgery in his Sun City West surgery center.

An Air Force veteran, Craig said he had the procedure done while still in the service, and benefited from his insurance benefits authorizing coverage of the upper lid surgery. 

"So I just paid for the lower lid surgery - it was like 50% off," he said.

"I have high regards for Dr. Justo," Craig said. "It was a great experience. Everything was a piece of cake with the surgery, from start to finish."
