Dr. Justo Honored
Congratulations to Emilio M. Justo, M.D.
We are proud to announce that Dr. Emilio M. Justo, our Founder and Medical Director, was honored with the prestigious CEO Award by the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce. The honor recognizes Dr. Justo as a leader and the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center for being actively engaged in building and strengthening our community. The recognition was announced at the Chamber's annual Legacy Awards, the highest level of business recognition offered by the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce, which oversees business development and advocacy in Surprise, El Mirage, Youngtown, and the Sun City communities. Dr. Justo was nominated by his business peers who recognize his dedication to support the development of a business community which attracts visitors, residents, and businesses as the region grows.
"A healthy business community and a healthy community go hand in hand," Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Raoul Sada said while presenting the award before the entire Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center staff. "The Legacy Awards recognize businesses that have exemplified not only being a strong business in the community, but that have actively done outreach to the general public for the area. It's a combination of good business practices and helping the community."
The award reflects Dr. Justo's support in the community not only through the creation of jobs filled by his long-time and talented staff, but also through regular community fundraising and supply drives that directly support members of our community. A business leader for 28 years, Dr. Justo is well-known in the community for his care and treatment of vision and beauty health. He has over the years always invested in state-of-the-art technology that sets his results and the customization of his cataract surgery a step above other surgery centers. Dr. Justo has also made it a mission to ensure the majority of his upper eyelid surgery patients receive insurance authorizations, which has dramatically improved their vision and their lives without cutting into their budgets.
"This recognition is an honor. We don't help people to see and enjoy their lives better to receive an award. We don't join together as a community to collect water bottles with the goal of being recognized. It is something we do together because we truly care about our community and about each other. We truly are one big family," Dr. Justo said. "I am truly humbled and honored by this recognition, just as I am each time a patient submits a review about their services. We thank you for helping us to succeed and be an active part of the community."
