26th Anniversary Gala Highlights Live Eyelid Surgery

Dr. Emilio M. Justo had a vision when he founded the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center in Sun City and Sun City West 26 years ago: compassionate and experienced vision, health and beauty care.

Today, Dr. Justo is proud to offer the most state-of-the-art technology and a family-friendly atmosphere that has made our community strong. Hundreds gathered to celebrate 26 years of better vision, beauty and increased personal independence at the March 6 Anniversary Gala held at the practice’s Sun City West office.

“We look forward to celebrating with our extended family every single year,” Dr. Justo said. “This year was particularly exciting as we were able to showcase one of the most important surgeries we offer to the public, right here in our back yards.”

For the first time, patients were able to view live eyelid surgeries taking place in the surgical center as they watched.

The videos of those surgeries are now available on the practice’s YouTube page, www.youtube.com/azjusto, for the public to learn more about the process of outpatient upper eyelid surgery, which Dr. Justo and his staff are often able to get approved by insurance. Patients who underwent the surgeries were able to meet and greet with the public immediately after their procedures, due to the ease of the process.

“Eyelid surgery is not a cosmetic procedure, but a life-changing outpatient surgery that will not only make you feel and look your best, but allows patients to maintain and dramatically improve their vision,” Dr. Justo explained. “This surgery for many patients means the difference between driving and not; reading comfortably, and other lifestyle choices and hobbies become more possible again. I am very passionate about helping patients retain their independence and their love of life."
