Life Without Glasses
There are two things that have been constants in Marilyn Madonia's life.
Eyeglasses.
And a love of books.
Today, she continues to read three books every week. But she does so using her own vision.
Marilyn opted to take advantage of the state-of-the-art technology unique to Dr. Emilio M. Justo's office and accredited surgical center at the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center.
The LenSx femtosecond laser for refractive cataract surgery enabled Marilyn a safer and more precise surgery, and she received a multi-focal lens implant that corrected both her distance and close up vision.
Used to wearing glasses to see close and far away, Marilyn says now even the ability to wake up in the middle of the night, and see the time on her clock is an incredible joy.
"I see perfectly now. I love the fact that I can read without glasses. It's huge! The day after surgery I could read."
