Water Bottles Needed by Local Groups as Summer Heat Bears Down

The summer heat is already bearing down, and with it comes a risk to community members. Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center is hosting a water drive during the month of July to fill a growing need for more water bottles to be available for local residents facing heat related illness or stress.

Donors who bring at least one case of water can earn discounts, listed below, on cosmetic services as our gratitude for supporting the effort. Donated water will go directly to  the Salvation Army Sun Cities West Valley Corps, who will provide it the Sun City and Sun City West fire districts; the Sheriff's Posses of Sun City, Sun City West and Westbrook; and the police departments in Surprise, El Mirage and Youngtown.

Public servants are the first to respond to community members facing a heat crisis or illness, whether they are homeless, stranded or have health conditions.

"The water bottles we will collect could mean the difference between life and death for community members," said Dr. Emilio M. Justo, medical director. "The need is even greater this summer for more water bottles, and the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center is dedicated to working with our generous community to provide this vital resource."

WHEN:  Drop off donations 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., from Monday, June 30 until Thursday, July 31

DISCOUNTS: We encourage you to bring as much water as you can, to help our community stay safe and hydrated this summer. But as a thank you, we are offering donors the following discounts:

·         10% off cosmetic surgeries, products and services prepaid in July with donation of at least two cases.

·         5% off cosmetic surgeries, products and services prepaid in July with donation of one case.

*Discount applies to only one service. Discount can only be used once. Does not apply to prior work. Cases must include at least 24 bottles of water.
